This incredible night officially opens the festival and hosts a world-renowned foot juggler with other special guests. In OMÂ (a combination of Oma, the German word for grandma, andMâdarjun, the Farsi affectionate term for grandmother), the German-Iranian circus artist Roxana Küwen Arsalan reimagines a dialogue withher two grandmothers. They have never met in person, but now theirgranddaughter brings them together for a circus teatime performancefull of poetry and humour. Juggling teapots, languages, and questions ofprivilege, OMÂ tosses the happenchance of our origins up into the air.
