Through original songs, folk songs, as well as translations of Newfoundland songs, Port-Aux-Poutines celebrates the diversity of French-Canadian culture in Newfoundland.
Port-Aux-Poutines is a francophone music duo based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, formed by Jenna Maloney and Axel Belgarde. Since 2022, Port-Aux-Poutines fuses French-Canadian and Newfoundland musical traditions. Through original songs, folk songs, as well as translations of Newfoundland songs, the band celebrates the diversity of French-Canadian culture, tells stories and legends of the province, and celebrates the heritage of Francophonie in Newfoundland. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2023, followed by Oui B’y in 2025, which gained widespread attention and brought them to perform across Newfoundland and Labrador, the Maritimes, and France, as well as earning them two MusicNL Awards. Beyond performance, Jenna and Axel are also dedicated educators, offering workshops in schools and communities to promote the richness and importance of francophone culture through music.
