Starring Colin Furlong as Joey Smallwood, this one man tour de force recounts an iconic piece of Newfoundland history. Only Living Father is the story of Joey Smallwood, the first Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador and the man who brought us into confederation with Canada in 1949. Follow the story of Smallwood’s life and career, from his modest beginning in an isolated town to a 25 year reign as Newfoundland’s Premier. Loved by some and hated by others, one thing is certain: Joey Smallwood changed the course of Newfoundland’s history.
