Following her mother’s death, 14 year old Eliza is pulled from school to manage the household, unruly siblings, and a struggling father - all while finding love of her own. The play spans multiple time periods, from Eliza's childhood in the 1960s, to the cod moratorium of the 90s, to the present day. The story follows Eliza's relationship with her father Loomis and her husband Hank. Our Eliza is dedicated to the women of the Great Northern Peninsula and honours the sacrifices rural Newfoundland women made for their families.
