Poetry Night @ Theatre Hill

April is National Poetry Month! Come celebrate our local poetic talent—and read some of your own work on the Theatre Hill stage—with a swanky night of poetry at Theatre Hill Bar + Café inside the glorious Majestic Theatre. The event will be hosted by poet and fiction writer, Nicole Haldoupis.

Wear a fancy dress and heels or a tux. Wear your pajamas or your favourite cozy sweatpants. Come as you like—we want to hear your words.

Open Mic:

A chance to read your own poetry to a cozy room filled with poetry-loving friends! Got a poem you love to read to anyone who will listen, or one you’ve never read before that you’d like to test out on a welcoming crowd? Some silly notes on your phone that sound kinda like poetry? We want to hear it at the open mic! All silly words welcome.

Worried about missing out on the open mic? Secure your spot early by signing up in advance. But don’t worry—if you can’t decide if you’d like to read yet, there will be some spots available for last-minute sign-up at the event.
