The Rev Dave Trio is a musical spin-off from Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters. Their music is in the genre of alternative country and draws inspiration from trad country, blues, rock, folk and jazz. It comprises Rev Dave, Andrea Monro and Doug Randell, with a special guest or two as occasion demands. The Trio is known for its intricate guitar work, passionate vocals and soulful harmonies, it is a distillation of the sound of Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters in a folkier vein. Today's special guest is celebrated fiddler Madeline Carter.
Since the release of their first album, Dark Water, in 2020, Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters have received three MusicNL nominations, two for Folk/ Roots Artist of the year (2020, 2022) and one for Country Artist of the Year (2025). In addition, they have received two ECMA nominations for their 2022 album, Beams of Love, which was nominated in both the Blues and Country Categories.
