St. John’s Pride: Meet DATE! & Putting Sex Back In Pride Panel

Theatre Hill Stage

Meet DATE!
5:30 – 6:30pm

DATE – Dignity Advocacy Tools Empowerment – is NL’s first sex work co-op, founded by and for sex workers along with community allies and advocacy workers. Join us to meet some of the activists driving D.A.T.E. and participate in an important conversation about why the fight for sex worker rights is part of Pride and our broader liberation struggles. Listen, learn and find out what you can do to help support and grow sex worker rights in NL!

Putting Sex Back In Pride — Panel
7:00 – 8:30pm

Queer liberation means exerting unapologetic, unfettered autonomy over our bodies. To do that, we need to talk about sex – about why sexual liberation is part of queer liberation, about how to express that in a society still riddled with repressive stigmas and taboos, and about emerging threats to the gains that queer and body liberation movements have made.

Join our panelists for a conversation about body and sexual liberation – about creative expressions of sexuality in the arts, to non-monogamy and relationship diversity, to sex work and more. Featuring:
